To deepen corporateculture development, foster a spirit of dedication among young employees, and build a platform for them to showcase themselves and share growth experience, the Communist Youth League Committee of Sinochem Dongda hosted the 2026 “Challenge Cup” Speech Contest on June 26.
Following multiround screening and meritbased recommendations from each Party branch, eight outstanding young contestants advanced to the final to compete on the same stage. Centering on key themes including corporateculture inheritance, team building, youth contribution at posts and the “secondcurve” growth strategy, the competitors delivered sincere and inspiring speeches rooted in frontline work realities and corporate development priorities.

Some speakers drew upon ordinary daily work, recounting small yet persistent efforts that illustrate how extraordinary achievements can be made even in routine positions. Others reviewed past project milestones, sharing breakthroughs in technological innovation and demonstrating young talents’ courage to explore new possibilities. Starting from civilizationbuilding initiatives, some contestants talked about upholding safety red lines, improving personal competence and taking concrete responsibility for corporate progress. From a macro development perspective, others elaborated on priorities such as qualityandefficiency improvement and safety management, and voiced their vision of growing handinhand with the company.
With passionate voices and heartfelt emotions, the speakers vividly interpreted the commitment of generations of Dongda employees to their mission and downtoearth work ethic. They fully demonstrated the vibrant, enterprising, courageous and pragmatic spirit of the company’s young workforce, and spread positive corporate energy, winning rounds of applause from judges and the audience.

After intense onsite competition, one firstprize winner, two secondprize winners (teams), and a number of thirdprize and merit award recipients were selected.

Song Haorui, a new recruit from the Polyether Plant, took part in a speech contest for the first time. “Over my first year on the job, I have witnessed firsthand how senior colleagues in my work team stay committed to frontline duties, pursue perfection and overcome difficulties, which has greatly inspired me,” he shared excitedly after the event. “This speech was an attempt to push beyond my comfort zone. Going forward, I will keep honing my professional skills at my post, take initiative, and strive to become a capable, responsible young backbone.”
A company thrives when its youth thrive, and grows stronger when its youth excel. Moving ahead, Sinochem Dongda will continue to leverage Partybuilding leadership and boost youthleague work. Focusing on young employees’ development needs, the company will regularly organize diversified activities such as skill competitions, talent showcases and culturalsports events, further improve the youth training system, build growth platforms and smooth careerdevelopment pathways. It will also guide young staff to stay goaloriented, deliver solid onthejob performance, pursue innovation and fulfill their responsibilities. By integrating personal aspirations into the company’s highquality development, young talents will contribute with relentless efforts and high morale to new progress in Sinochem Dongda’s transformation and steady growth.
