To further implement the Happy Cube · Full Warmth initiative of the Chlor-Alkali Division and translate the campaign of Delivering Practical Services to the Masses into tangible results, the Staff Home Activity Room, elaborately built by the Sinochem Dongda Trade Union integrating leisure, fitness and stress relief functions, officially opened to employees on December 12. At the opening event, Kong Wei, Deputy General Manager of the Company and Chairman of the Trade Union, pressed the play button for the opening video. Together with employees, he experienced various fitness equipment and immersed himself in the convenience and fun of this exclusive fitness space.
Tailored to employees’ demands, the activity room is divided into three functional zones. The Leisure & Fitness Zone is equipped with an interactive smart panel for playing fitness tutorials, together with yoga mats, hula hoops, skipping ropes, stretch trainers, foot massage mats, foam rollers and other practical gear to meet employees’ needs for stretching and daily relaxation. The Sports Training Zone neatly houses professional equipment including treadmills, elliptical trainers, multi-functional trainers and dumbbells, providing conditions for systematic strength and aerobic workouts. The enclosed Stress Relief Room features special equipment such as the musical boxing wall target and punching bags, enabling employees to release work pressure fully. Covering diverse fitness and relaxation scenarios, the three zones allow employees to enjoy all-round physical exercise conveniently after work and achieve physical and mental relief.
In addition, to enrich employees’ fitness options, the Trade Union has completed optimization of the table tennis activity room, with table tennis bats available for staff use.
Even during the trial operation period, the activity room attracted numerous employees. “Sitting at the desk every day leaves my waist and back aching. I come to stretch on the multi-functional trainer during lunch break, and I feel more energetic for work in the afternoon!” said Jiang Shuang from the Finance Management Department. Li Yihang from the Polyether Plant spoke highly of the stress relief zone: “Staring at monitors in the control room for long hours strains my eyes and makes me feel stifled. Throwing punches on the musical boxing wall target following the rhythm blows away all irritability.”
To ensure standardized and orderly operation of the activity room, the Trade Union has formulated detailed management rules, clarifying equipment operating specifications and safety maintenance responsibilities. QR codes are attached to all fitness equipment. Employees can scan the codes to view operation guidelines and safety notes. Meanwhile, a dedicated reservation mini-program has been launched, enabling staff to book time slots as needed to realize staggered fitness and improve utilization efficiency of venues and equipment.
The launch of the Staff Home Activity Room marks a concrete initiative by Sinochem Dongda to care for employees’ physical and mental health and enhance their sense of well-being. Going forward, the Trade Union will keep focusing on staff demands and continuously optimize service support, turning this warm hub into a solid backing for employees to work with peace of mind and live comfortably.
