The inauguration ceremony for staff apartments of Sinochem Dongda (Quanzhou) Co., Ltd. at Hui’an Jiahe Wanjing Garden was successfully held on May 25. Cai Xumeng, Member of the Standing Committee of Hui’an County Party Committee and Executive Vice County Magistrate, Zhan Xiaotong, Deputy General Manager of Sinochem Dongda and General Manager of Dongda Quanzhou, Chen Jie, General Manager of Hui’an Urban Construction Group, together with employee representatives, attended the event to witness this heartwarming milestone.
Since the commissioning of the Quanzhou subsidiary in March 2025, the workforce has kept expanding. Accommodation support has become an urgent concern raised by numerous employees. Adhering to the employee-centered development philosophy, and following the Six Plus Six Minus 2.0 Code of Conduct as well as the requirements for building a Happy Chlor-Alkali, Civilized Dongda proposed by the Chlor-Alkali Division, the company regards the staff housing project as a key initiative to uphold a sound view of performance and resolve practical difficulties for employees. The company proactively engaged with the Hui’an County Government to strive for policy support and push forward the delivery of the apartment project.
With strong support from the County Party Committee and County Government, Hui’an Urban Construction Group worked around the clock without reservation, overcoming multiple challenges including construction during the Spring Festival and high humidity brought by the returning damp weather. The renovation work was completed to high standards within merely three months. The General Administration Department tracked the whole progress with meticulous management. A special acceptance team consisting of Operations, HSE and other departments was set up to enforce strict controls over quality, safety and environmental protection, ensuring high-quality handover of the apartments.
The newly launched staff apartments cover a total area of over 2,900 square meters, including 28 units with 70 dormitory rooms. Fully equipped with air conditioners, water heaters, washing machines, complete furniture and other living amenities, the apartments support move-in with luggage only. The company has also prepared bedding sets to deliver warmth through thoughtful details, effectively boosting employees’ sense of belonging, happiness and security.
Warm residences unite strengths for new endeavours. Going forward, Dongda Quanzhou will further enhance employee care and continuously improve the logistics support system.
