On October 31, Sinochem Dongda (Zibo) Co., Ltd. successfully obtained the Bronze Certification for Operational Excellence, marking a crucial step forward in the company’s lean management and systematic transformation efforts.

As a benchmark enterprise of the Chlor-Alkali Business Division, Sinochem Dongda launched its Operational Excellence initiative on March 8, 2024, kicking off a journey of self-improvement focused on systematic reform, full-chain efficiency enhancement and in-depth empowerment. Over the subsequent 20 months, the company systematically rolled out 15 management modules. Through consistent advancement, it achieved remarkable improvements across multiple dimensions, including mindset cultivation, capability building, process optimization and value creation.
The Chlor-Alkali Business Division attached great importance to the project. Relevant leaders including Zhu Bin, Secretary of the Party Committee and President of the Division, conducted in-depth research and guidance on multiple occasions to coordinate and advance the implementation of the initiative. Sinochem Dongda established a special leading group for promotion. With the support of the Honeywell consulting team, the company fully implemented the management requirements for Operational Excellence, strengthened system construction and top-level design, coordinated resource allocation, and precisely controlled the pace of advancement. By giving full play to the synergy of the "Iron Triangle", "Central Triangle" and module leaders, Sinochem Dongda deeply integrated Operational Excellence with key initiatives such as Party building, the FORUS system, the development of "Five-Star Teams" and the training of reserve talents. It organized all employees to learn and apply Operational Excellence methodologies and tools, continuously elevating the level of lean management. Through organizational reform, management optimization and process reengineering, the company kept unlocking its management potential.
At the initial review meeting, Li Xiao, Member of the Party Committee and Deputy General Manager of Sinochem Dongda, gave a comprehensive overview of the company’s journey of aspiring for excellence, embracing excellence, pursuing excellence and sustaining excellence, as well as its achievements in delivering results, building capabilities and shaping culture. While affirming these development outcomes, Song Kai, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Chlor-Alkali Business Division, urged the company to further integrate Operational Excellence management philosophy with its actual production and business operations. He emphasized the need to internalize Operational Excellence from a "management tool" into the "corporate DNA" of Sinochem Dongda, helping the company foster new mindsets and explore new development paths.
Zhu Jian, Secretary of the Party Committee and General Manager of Sinochem Dongda, stated that the company would take the Bronze Certification as a new starting point. Focusing on the issues identified during the certification process, it will formulate systematic improvement action plans, continuously tap into potential value and enhance its overall competitiveness. The company will promote the further deepening and internalization of Operational Excellence as a regular practice, strive for higher goals, build a core management system with Sinochem Dongda characteristics, and inject sustained impetus into achieving higher-quality development.
