On November 11, the mechanical completion ceremony of the High-End Polyurethane Storage Tank Project of Sinochem Dongda (Zibo) Co., Ltd. was held smoothly. Zhu Jian, Secretary of the Party Committee, General Manager and Project Director of the company, together with representatives of all participating construction units, attended the ceremony.

Based on the company’s original planned land plot and closely aligned with its business development strategy for the next 3–5 years, the project determined the quantity, type and layout of the newly added finished product storage tanks through rational forecasting of the growth trend of product demand. Upon completion, the project will further optimize the spatial allocation of warehousing facilities, improve production capacity utilization efficiency, and lay a solid hardware foundation for the company’s high-quality development.

At the ceremony, Zhu Jian highly commended the hard work and dedication of all construction units and project team members. He pointed out that since the project kicked off, all participating teams have demonstrated outstanding construction capabilities and a strong sense of responsibility. From the initial planning and layout to the detailed quality control during the construction process, they have always followed the work principle of high standards and strict requirements. Relying on professional technical support, scientific management mode and efficient execution capability, they have steadily advanced various construction tasks, laying a solid foundation for the successful mechanical completion of the project.

Wang Zhen, Project Manager of China National Chemical Engineering Sixth Construction Co., Ltd. and representative of the construction unit, stated that the smooth mechanical completion of the project is the result of close collaboration and joint efforts to overcome challenges by all parties. This mechanical completion marks the official transition of the project from the construction phase to the trial production preparation phase. Going forward, the construction unit will continue to maintain close cooperation with all parties, ensure seamless connection of follow-up work, and make every effort to support the project’s smooth entry into the official operation phase.

The addition of high-end polyurethane storage tanks under this project will effectively enhance the company’s warehousing capacity, optimize supply chain management, meet the demand for customized products, and thereby strengthen its market competitiveness. Since the official start of construction at the end of July 2025, the project team has adhered to the work philosophy of “ensuring weekly targets with daily progress, monthly targets with weekly progress, and overall goals with monthly progress”, implementing a visualized management approach with a detailed schedule and working backward against the timeline. Faced with multiple challenges including the rare consecutive rainy weather lasting over 10 days in Shandong and the implementation of the “two prohibitions and one strict control” policy, the team strictly adhered to the bottom lines of safety and quality, and completed the entire project construction in only 3 months. With this “Dongda Speed” and “Dongda Quality”, the team has fully embodied the spirit, vitality and resolve of Sinochem Group in the new era.

The successful holding of this mechanical completion ceremony marks the project’s entry into the countdown to commissioning. It will inject strong impetus into the company’s high-quality development and help accelerate the value release and effectiveness creation of the company’s “1+3” development strategy.
