Memory pillows have gained growing popularity among consumers in recent years. Made primarily of gas-generating slow-rebound memory foam, the material features adaptive fitting shaping and zero-pressure support. It distributes body pressure evenly and is widely adopted in close-contact products such as bedding and neck supports, serving as a mainstream comfort material for household and travel scenarios.
Nevertheless, non-washability and difficulties in deep cleaning have long been common drawbacks of memory foam products. Conventional memory foam features a closed-cell structure with strong water absorption. It tends to swell and deform upon water exposure. Washing and kneading may cause surface peeling, powder shedding and permanent collapse of internal foam cells. After drying, resilience cannot be restored, resulting in severe loss of soft supportive performance. Since thorough washing is impossible, sweat residues, skin flakes and dust mites easily accumulate inside foam cores. Surface wiping alone cannot achieve complete removal, creating hygiene risks and drastically shortening product service life.
Targeting this key pain point, Sinochem Dongda has independently developed special polyethers dedicated to washable memory foam, breaking industry bottlenecks through molecular design at the raw material level.

(4) High formulation compatibility with sustained slow-rebound performance While achieving wash resistance, the material fully retains the temperature-sensitive slow-rebound characteristics of polyethers without compromising support and pressure relief. Stable functionality and molecular weight distribution deliver excellent compatibility with isocyanates and additives, offering great flexibility for foaming formulation adjustment.
